Shirley Phillips BA (Hons), DipCouns Accredited Mindfulness Teacher
I have many years experience of personal practice of meditation, facilitating meditation groups and one-to-one sessions. I first learnt transcendental meditation from a Sufi Teacher in the mid 1970s. Contemplative meditations followed in the 1990s with a Christian Meditation Teacher, Ann Duffin, at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. I became a qualified Mindfulness Now Teacher, a secular practice, in 2019.
I thoroughly enjoy sharing and teaching this wonderful journey of Mindfulness practice and seeing its numerous health and wellbeing benefits working for others as well as myself.
Course Mindfulness Teacher I currently teach bespoke one-to-one Evidenced Based Approach 8 week Mindfulness Now Courses on Zoom and in-person. Also, I facilitate a weekly meditation group on Zoom each Thursday evening at 7pm.
Experience as Events' Organiser I currently organise and run the 2-Day Retreats that are held at the Lord Haldon Country Hotel in Dunchideock. I have a wide-ranging experience of organising and running events. I was Concerts Manager at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, for 7 years, and 6 years as an Events Manager for Devon County Council.

Artist Art has always been part of my life and continues to be so. An example of my contemporary artwork can be found on: www.shirleyphillipsartist.com. I am delighted that my art, creativity and imagination dovetails with my Mindfulness practice.
